Milcord is a dynamic research and development company that conducts research in knowledge management, geospatial intelligence, information security, and information management, and commercializes the intellectual property generated in these R&D projects. Milcord is developing solutions to some of the most challenging problems in counterterrorism, law enforcement, information security, and risk management for the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Department of Homeland Security, and NASA, and our collaboration with leading research labs, systems integrators, and emerging information technology companies extends our development capabilities.

Our Team

• Milcord founders have an exceptional track record of building and growing information technology startups. Collectively, the Milcord management team managed over 100 government R&D projects, raised more than $50M equity capital, lead M&A and IPO transactions, and brings several years of operational management experience.
• Milcord ME collaborates with the University of Maine researchers at the Department of Spatial Information Science and Engineering with a long track record of successful R&D in digital image processing and analysis for extraction, intelligent retrieval, and management of geospatial information, digital photogrammetry, and remote sensing, and at the Wireless Sensor Network Laboratory with multiple research projects in wireless communications area ranging from coding and information theory to sensor networks and space applications.

The Bay Colony Center is located in the heart of the Waltham Business District with easy access to Boston’s Logan International Airport. The focus of our Maine office is geospatial intelligence. Our team collaborates with researchers from the Department of Spatial Information Science and Engineering. Our location, on the banks of the Penobscot River, and 10 miles from the city of Bangor, offers spectacular scenery, combined with cultural attractions and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
