In multiple social science research projects, we have developed human, social, culture and behavior models from reference, historical, current and doctrine knowledge for use in decision aids, forecasting, risk assessment and training.

Cyber security is the protection of digital information by preventing, detecting, and responding to attacks. We are researching and developing solutions for emerging cyber threats. Adversary use of fast-flux botnets and dynamic DNS gives attackers an asymmetric advantage and complicates trace-back and attribution. We are building a semantic knowledge base and monitoring infrastructure to detect and classify advanced persistent threats exploiting the relationships among the DNS and IP namespace entities shared by the adversary.

Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) is the exploitation and analysis of imagery and geospatial information to describe, assess, and visually depict physical features and geographically referenced activities on the Earth. The GEOINT discipline encompasses all activities involved in the planning, collection, processing, analysis, exploitation, and dissemination of spatial information in order to gain intelligence about the national security or operational environment, visually depict this knowledge, and fuse the acquired knowledge with other information through analysis and visualization processes.
